Black Sheep Wool ‘n’ Wares, Guyra, Australia
Bettina Donohue is Black Sheep Wool’s proud owner dedicated to helping novice knitters and pro crochet lovers alike find the best Australian and International yarns, wools, patterns and accessories with the very best advice!
Bettina learned to knit 11 years ago to make “pretty things” and her own jumpers. She then picked up crochet 9 years ago, originally to make flowers, and quickly realised there was
so much more to it! She fell in love with both crafts, but enjoys the greater versatility and the pick-up-put-down aspect of crochet the most – especially with an active 3-year old in tow!Ever since then, Bettina has learnt to finish projects, has surrounded herself with wool, spent countless hours pouring over patterns, and wished she could do this all day – which now she can!
Shop NowOur Story
My name is Margaret Swerdlow, I moved to Guyra to get away from
the hectic pace of Sydney 13 years ago. I managed the advertising
department of a very busy publishing house and just decided to
have a country change. I worked casually for the shop and then
decided to buy the business. My love for knitting and also chatting
with people has progressed into the love for the shop and everyday
I learn something new and meet so many people.
